July 2009 - Congratulations to Michael Lange

Michael Lange has completed his degree course on Computing at the Imperial College London. He gained first class honours in his MEng Computing degree. His 4th years project explored ways to parallelize VEW computation in order to provide the computational means for very large simulations on the VEW (download). Michael has been awarded EPSRC funding for 3 years of research training at Imperial starting in October 2009. His PhD project will develop a 3-D VEW to simulate plankton patchiness created by mesoscale turbulence in the upper ocean.
